There’s a point where you realize the truth isn’t enough. She believes her version so hard it becomes real for her, and somehow that makes it more real than the facts.
I was there. I know what happened. But what does knowing mean if no one believes you?
Maybe that’s what hurts. Not that she exaggerates. It’s that I keep waiting for the day she sees things like I do, when the reality is we’re living in two completely different worlds.
It never rained. But for her, it’s always raining.
And in the end, who was right matters less than accepting we’ll never align. Maybe that’s growing up: stop fighting for the truth and just let go.
