Maybe that’s what hurts. Not that she exaggerates. It’s that I keep waiting for the day she sees things like I do, when the reality is we’re living in two completely different worlds.
It never rained. But for her, it’s always raining.
And in the end, who was right matters less than accepting we’ll never align. Maybe that’s growing up: stop fighting for the truth and just let go.
